Heart-felt Thanks
The 2007 Celiac Conference was held March 20th and 21st.
The conference would not have been possible without the support of so many friends, volunteers, companies and associations.
To all of you, we sincerely thank you .
Despite the fact that this was the first conference we have undertaken, things ran very smoothly. Dr. Peter Green, our keynote speaker, wrote us afterwards to thank us for bringing him here and to say how impressed he was with the qualifications of our lineup of speakers.
The feedback forms we received on Patient / Teen Day expressed how excited the attendees were to have so many vendors present (there were over 40 vendors) and so many of the booths were offering free samples of food which delighted everyone.
The comments on the feedback forms from Professionals Day were rewarding to read. Most doctors said they learned so much and were going to re-test many of their undiagnosed patients who have celiac symptoms. Dentists were amazed at the connection between dental problems and diagnosing CD. And dietitians were overwhelmed with the wealth of information about the gluten-free diet. This truly was an educational process for attendees in the medical professions.

There are also many, many people who worked behind the scenes. To all the volunteers who gave of their time and energy for so many months to plan and execute this function, we thank you (and we have your names and contact information in case we elect to have another conference next year!!).
